I believe that my life as a “car nut” started when my parents brought me home from the hospital in a very rare 1961 Mercedes Benz station wagon. However, the middle of Nebraska was not a hotbed of Italian sportscar activity, so it took me a few years to discover Alfa Romeo. In 2007, my life with Alfa began when my brother and I purchased a 1959 Giulietta Spider Veloce. I was immediately hooked! Since then, the acronym ALFA – “Always Looking For Another” has firmly applied to me. I currently own four Alfas: 1953 1900ti, 1985 GTV-6, 1990 SZ and a 2018 Giulia. And I love them all. I joined the Alfa Club of the Rockies in 2008, and have been very active in the chapter, holding the office of president for 11 years, acting as co-chair for the “pandemic – twice rescheduled” 2020/2021 national convention, and leading many events, rallies and tours. I have also participated in a number of national events. In 2022, my wife Vicki and I were very proud to receive The Char Sommers Volunteer of the Year  Award. In addition, I currently serve on the AROC Strategic Planning Committee. 

I am strongly committed to AROC and the wonderful experiences it provides. And with my experience at both the national and local level, I think I am well suited to helping the board guide our club into the bright future ahead, while embracing the past and what makes AROC special.
